PORTFOLIO

weather.vladkvaskov.com

Weather Now is a PWA(Progressive Web App). It's installable to homesrceen and works offline! Here we used OpenWether API, Fetch API, LocalStorage API, Cache API, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. We have also published it to:

It's very easy and fast to make a website be recognized as a PWA by a browser, and it's fast to convert PWA to APK and publish it to Google Play! No need to pay a lot of money to Android Developer who will develop an app from scratch and spend a lot of time developing it. If you want to publish your website to Google Play or Windows Store, the fastest solution is PWA!

movers-san-francisco.com

This is a PWA! It's installable to homesrceen and works offline! Here we used Service Worker API, Fetch API, Cache API, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Also, there we do not have any images, we used CSS to create all the graphics(truck, mountains, houses, trees, etc)! The entire website is only 67 kilobytes! We have also published it to:

This is our CodePen account. Here we have a lot of very small projects in which we use HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ES6, LocalStorage API, indexedDB API, Fetch API.

SKILLS

JavaScript/ES6
CSS3
HTML5
JSON
PWA(Progressive Web Application)
SPA(Single-page Application)
Cache API
Service Worker API
Fetch API(modern AJAX)
Web App Manifest
Web Worker API
LocalStorage API
indexedDB API

With our skills, you can have a website and an app for Android/Windows 10 with one code!!! No need to hire Android developer for an app for android or a person who knows C# and can develop apps for Windows! All of that can be done by a web developer. The only thing you need is to hire a web developer who knows how to develop a PWA(Progressive Web Application). PWA is a hybrid of an app and a website. Essentially you only need to develop a website and add there a Web App Manifest and a Service Worker with a fetch handler. After that, the website is recognized by a browser as a PWA! This sounds easy, right? It is easy! Writing/adding a Web App Manifest and a Service Worker can be done in a matter of minutes. PWA is also installable on a device, so the user can install an app of your website. JavaScript has an event called 'beforeinstallprompt' using which you can determine whether the user can install an app(PWA). This event will be fired
if(all of the following are true) {
-the browser supports the 'beforeinstallprompt' event
-your website is recognized by a browser as a PWA
-the app is not already installed
}

If all of those are true you can display a button on your website which the user can click and install the app. Also, if your website is a valid PWA you can convert it to APK and publish it to Google Play and/or convert it to APPX and publish it to Windows Store!

To convert PWA to APK you can go to appmaker.xyz and in a few clicks, you will have a ready-to-go APK file, which you will be able to upload to Google Play!

To convert PWA to APPX you can go to pwabuilder.com and in a few clicks, you will have a ready-to-go APPX file, which you will be able to upload to Windows Store!

In conclusion, if you need an app for Android and/or Windows 10 and a website, all of that can be done with the same code! Think of how much money you can save! In the old days, if you wanted an app for Android you would hire an Android Developer, if you wanted a website you would hire a web developer, and so on. They would do everything from scratch because they would use different languages! In nowadays, all you need is a web developer who knows about PWA(Progressive Web Application). The web developer will be able to do all of that by only writing a website that is recognized by a browser as a PWA. Today the Web is truly UNIVERSAL!

EXAMPLE:
Here is a website which is recognized by a browser as a PWA movers-san-francisco.com
Here is an Android app of that website on Google Play play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.appmaker.olfgha
The time spent converting PWA to APK - less than a minute.
The time spent publishing to Google Play - less than an hour.
